Mandatory Pre-Wash
Wash your garments before using them for the first time to activate the absorbent layers.
Washing Protocol After Use
- Soak: Submerge the garment in cold water for 30 minutes to draw out most of the blood.
- Wash: Hand wash or machine wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C (104°F) using neutral soap.
- Dry: Reshape the garment and let it line dry outdoors (preferably in the sun).
Things to Avoid
- DO NOT tumble dry: Heat degrades the waterproof PUL layer and shrinks the garment.
- DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach: They create an impermeable coating over the fabric that blocks its absorbency.
Persistent Odors or Stains
If the garment has a persistent odor, soak it for 30 minutes in cold water with a splash of white vinegar before your regular wash.
